Romero Salvaje: Embracing the weirdy shine

Romero Salvaje is a Barcelona-born biojewelry project, where experimental design, science, and my personal reflections on sustainability in fashion collide.

My name is Sandra Romero <yes, that's where the brand name Romero Salvaje -Wild Rosemary- comes from>, and here, I craft unique wearable art using 3D printing and PHA—a biodegradable polymer cultivated from bacteria.

Roots & Vision

These same microbial muses are my greatest inspiration, alongside the stunning visual library of micrography. They guide everything, from the materials I use to the aesthetic you see🔬🦠

So, this is jewelry for those who find beauty in the unconventional: For the collectors, the futurists, and the wonderfully weird who believe their style should be as forward-thinking as the materials they wear🖤

FAQs

Biojewelry??? What does that mean?

Romero Salvaje pieces are 3D printed using PHA - a biodegradable material cultivated from bacteria, that redefines luxury by merging design, biology and environmental respect. This process creates a fusion of science, art, and technology, celebrating the unexpected beauty of natural forms.

But, If it's biodegradable jewelry, does that mean I can only use it a few times?
So... Romero Salvaje is a sustainable brand, right?

You can trust us, there's no greenwashing here, my dear - so we like to say, our pieces are consciously crafted:

We use eco-friendly materials like amazing PHA, a revolutionary biopolymer, and recycled paper for our packaging, among other low-impact choices.

We're committed to minimizing our environmental footprint as hard as we can.

Because being chic shouldn't cost the planet.
Crazy concept, right?🙃

Not at all! While our jewelry is 100% biodegradable, this process only begins under specific conditions, with the help of microorganisms found in soil or marine environments.

With proper care, your pieces will last for decades✨ But if a Romero Salvaje piece is ever discarded, unlike fast-fashion waste that pollutes for centuries, it will break down in a fraction of that time, leaving no microplastics behind, even in the ocean.
